This site has been established as a clearing house for information and relief efforts focused on the coastal fishing village of Puerto Adolfo López Mateos, in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico.

The region was pounded on September 2, 2009 by Hurricane Jimena, damaging or totalling the majority of the residents' dwellings, severely compromising the local industry, and leaving many of the local residents without a home, job, or means to rebuild.

With the immediate emergency status diminished, a number of concerned individuals have evaluated the situation and decided that an effective and high bang-for-the-buck way to help out with the aftermath, is direct material assistance in getting a roof over the heads of people whose simple homes were devastated by the high storm winds.
